My stay at Bodysgallen Hall was quite an experience, filled with both cozy charm and some unexpected hiccups. The historic ambiance of the place truly transports you, and while some aspects like the spa and restaurant showed brilliance, others, especially during breakfast, left much to be desired. Overall, the friendliness of the staff and the comfort of the rooms made it worthwhile, although there's room for improvement in dining consistency.

The staff members were attentive and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. However, getting to the main building from some locations can be a bit challenging due to the steep paths. My experience at Bodysgallen was fantastic, especially for our anniversary celebration. The hotel offered a serene atmosphere with beautiful views of Conwy castle and the gardens, and the staff were incredibly courteous and attentive. Unfortunately, our arrival was marred by the lack of a courtesy vehicle to take us from the train station, and the evening walk to the restaurant in the rain was a bit challenging. Overall, it was a wonderful stay with some minor inconveniences.

Bodysgallen Hall and Spa offers a unique experience in a historic setting, with friendly staff and a lovely spa. However, some cottages need serious updates, and the dining options are quite limited and pricey for the quality. The grounds are excellent but the overall accommodations didn't meet my expectations for the price.
Rooms
5.0
The cottage we stayed in felt outdated, with scruffy furnishings and a tiny bathroom, which made our stay uncomfortable. The room itself could use a refresh.
Service
7.0
The staff was helpful and friendly, providing great service in the spa, but the dining service could have been more attentive given the high cost.
Location
9.0
The location is wonderful, with beautiful grounds and easy access to the surrounding areas, but the parking area right outside the cottage was a bit noisy in the morning.
Dining

The dining experience was disappointing since the menu didn't change throughout our stay, and the quality did not match the high prices.
